Welcome to our people and engagement section of the Our Working Way hub. You will find information from how we are engaging with you and colleagues from across the Group to what our HR team is doing to improve the way we work and enable our future ways of working for example new HR systems to policy updates and guidance.

Here are some of the things you will find in this section:

In developing our Strategy, we held a series of focus groups with colleagues from across GC. This helped us identify where we are now, and shape where we want to be within three years’ time. We’ve identified strategic themes: Strengthen Belonging, Nurture Growth and Enable Performance.

GC is committed to effective, regular communication and information sharing with colleagues. There are six ECC groups within GC. Each group is made up of business unit representatives, elected by you, and one lead representative who meets regularly with all leads, the Director of HR and OD and SMT to discuss matters and initiatives driven from both the business and you.

A resource for all people managers - contains policies and processes for managers and new managers

As a people-centred organisation we want to use AI in a way that supports our colleagues to do what they do best and enhances the delivery of our services.   Here you will find a suite of resources, including our AI principles, AI policy, and practical FAQs to give colleagues clear advice, tips, and dos and do not's on using AI tools responsibly and with confidence. 

A schedule that allocates office space for teams to spend one day together per month. 

GC has committed to achieving better mental health outcomes and a genuine longer-term positive impact on our colleague’s wellbeing, joining a growing movement of over 1,400 organisations.
