GC Managers from the Health and Wellbeing teams in the Employment business unit took part in a ‘Walk and Talk’ activity in October, across Holcombe Moor to Peel Tower and Ramsbottom, in Bury. The aim of the walk was to strengthen management links and connections between the services in the health and wellbeing space, and to combine this with a wellbeing activity. Some of the managers brought their dogs along for the walk too.
Rachael McNally, Team Manager for the IPS SMI Wellness in Work team commented, ‘As someone who is new to GC it was a really lovely and relaxed way to get to know colleagues. The activity itself was thoughtful and I’m looking forward to joining on something similar in the future’.
Alex Howley, Operations Director, said, ‘It was great to spend time discussing areas of best practice while welcoming some new colleagues to the team and taking in the views of Greater Manchester and Lancashire from the top of Holcombe Moor. Time away from our laptops was much needed for all of us and we really enjoyed making connections. The dogs enjoyed it too!’
