Meal claims
With effect from Monday 20th November, the amount you can claim for meal expenses will be increasing.
This is as a result of a request made by you, through the Employee Consultative Committee.
Breakfast claims will increase to £6, lunch claims to £10 and evening meal claims to £20 (£25 when travelling overseas). Please see the Travel and Expenses Appendix for eligibility for claiming meal expenses.
The expense system has been updated, so from Monday 20th November, please ensure you claim under the correct option which can be seen here:
Please note that if your terms relating to meal expenses are different due to TUPE transferring into GC, the amount you claim will not change.
Mileage Rates for colleagues on the ULEV scheme
The mileage rate for colleagues who have a vehicle through the GC ULEV scheme is increasing. This amount will increase from 5p per mile to 9p per mile. This applies to
- Colleagues who have a fully electric vehicle
- For the first 30 miles of a journey, for colleagues who lease a hybrid vehicle through the scheme.
