In 2022, In response to the crisis in Ukraine, United for Ukraine team was set up by businesses and other partners across the North of England, including GC, to support evacuees coming to our region. Its website provides access to employment and support services.

Earlier this month, the United for Ukraine team participated in the Global Liverpool Festival of Inclusion and Diversity, organized by Toxteth Development Trust and Liverpool City Council.

The team were honoured to be welcomed by Lord Mayor, Richard Kemp and Cosima Doerfel Hill, Partnership Lead at Liverpool Citizens Advice Bureau.

They had the privilege of wishing Casus Pax (a non-profit Community Interest Company, who provide aid to civilians in need), a safe journey on their humanitarian mission to Ukraine.

Marianna Vaszilyiv, GC colleague and Lead Key Worker on the United for Ukraine initiative told us:

"The festival was amazing and featured talented singers and dancers, who presented performances celebrating their native cultures and identities. This event provided us with an excellent opportunity to raise awareness about our United for Ukraine initiative, and we also had the opportunity to offer guests advice and guidance on employment and support services."
