The past few weeks have been very challenging, especially for those most directly and significantly impacted by the recent announcements. As always, I have been overwhelmed by the positive and quick response from colleagues. You have truly demonstrated our values in the most impactful way, showing that we are stronger together and always strive to do the right thing.
The deadline for signing and returning your consent was Friday (3 July) and I am very proud of the response we have had across the Group with almost 90% providing their consent to date. I appreciate that this is not a quick and easy decision and shouldn’t be viewed lightly, especially for those it has impacted significantly.
We are asking for consent from all colleagues (except for the few exceptions listed in the FAQs), therefore if you are on furlough or going through the consultation process, we still need you to respond. If you have any concerns or issues to raise, you can email the HR Service Desk with these but don’t forgot to read FAQs on the Coronavirus Hub first, as you may find your answer there.
For those who haven’t yet responded, we have extended the deadline until close of play today and you should have received a follow up email. I know this is not an easy decision for you to make and I would like to thank you for the understanding you have shown, and your help in supporting the longer-term sustainability of GC.
As I’ve said before, this is the very last message we wanted to deliver to you and you should take pride in the outstanding way you have responded to these challenging times.
Thank you again.
