A very short update from me given my earlier announcement this week.
This week has clearly been very challenging for all of us, especially those most directly and significantly impacted. As I said in my webinar, these were the very last measures I thought we would be considering this year and the very last I wanted to put in place in response to managing the impacts of Covid-19.
It has however, also been the most humbling week for me given the response of colleagues. Within 24 hours more than 50% of consent forms had been signed and returned. Many colleagues have also asked how else they can contribute and others coming forward with additional suggestions that we will respond to. Understandably there have been other concerns and issues raised that we are also addressing.
You should all take assurance and pride in the outstanding way you have adapted throughout this period, which is down to your commitment and flexibility. Our purpose has never been more in need, and our values have never been more resonate. I’m confident that we will continue to work positively through living with Covid-19, focusing on recovery with strong fundamentals and a growing contract pipeline.
