Take 10 minutes to make a difference

At the end of August, I spoke to you about our commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in the workplace and our pledge to become a more diverse workforce and not only be recognised as an organisation that fights against racial inequality and discrimination but also proactively embedding a culture of diversity and equality. Our pledge and our annual diversity report are now live on our website for you to view and share with clients.

To support and take this pledge and our commitment to diversity forward we need your help.

We need you to complete our short EDI survey, which we shared at the end of August, to input into our actions going forward. Currently we have only had a 34% completion rate, to become a more diverse workforce we need to understand the current state of play and assess whether you feel GC is inclusive, that you are part of a team, and that we are an organisation that values difference. The survey is anonymous, and the feedback will used to attempt to tackle any potential barriers identified, so please be honest in your answers. With this in mind, we are extending the closing date by a week. Please spare ten minutes before Thursday 1 October to complete the survey.

A big thank you to all those who have already taken the time to respond to the survey so far, we have already made a few tweaks to the survey questions following some constructive feedback and appreciate your suggestions.

The EDI team are also still looking for volunteers to help support their Black History Month plans in October. If you would like to get involved by supporting on content, writing a blog or putting yourself forward for a video to share your story please get in touch with Nisa Ahmad. We want to share as many personal stories as possible to raise awareness and encourage more conversations about diversity within our organisation.

Thank you for your support on this.
