This August we've been celebrating the achievements of young people across the country as they've received their GCSE and A-Level Results.
Often a day filled with excitement, results day is a significant milestone for students - however it can also be surrounded by feelings of nerves and anxiety.
Whether they're ready to celebrate, or perhaps received results which weren't expected, it's our role as parents, friends, guardians and professionals to support them during this time.
Here are a few tips on how to support a young person following Results Day 2024:
✨ Celebrate all of their hard work and efforts, not just their results!
👂 Be there to listen.
🙂 Avoid comparison with others.
⭐ Provide reassurance and offer support for alternate options if required.
❤️ Give them time and space to think about their future.
At the Growth Company: Education & Skills, we’re here to help by providing a range of pathways into further study including Apprenticeships and Degree programmes. You can learn more about our full range of programmes at the GC Education & Skills website.
