GM Business Growth Hub Director Janine Smith recently visited the Sultanate of Oman to spread the word about Business Growth Hubs and the support they offer.
The GM Business Growth Hub was the first Growth Hub in the UK and its success has since been replicated across the country.
In a LinkedIn post, Janine said:
"Very honoured to be invited by the Omani government via the British Embassy to visit Oman to explain how we set up the GM Business Growth Hub model in Greater Manchester which was then adopted nationally by the British government. Oman want to officially adopt this model throughout their country. Proud moment meeting and presenting to Ministers, Governorates and the British and Omani Ambassadors.
"I also got to see much of beautiful Muscat and experience the Omani culture - what a wonderful place. I last visited in 2008 and it’s changed significantly whilst retaining its authenticity, culture and heritage. It’s also majorly on the up as a tourist destination and also many opportunities for British companies wanting to trade in Oman."
