Reminder of our Gifts and Hospitality Policy

From time to time, colleagues will be offered gifts or hospitality by GC’s customers or business associates.

Our Gifts and Hospitality Policy  applies even if the gift or hospitality is offered outside of the workplace, and applies regardless of whether colleagues are potential donors or recipients.

Where a gift or hospitality is offered, colleagues should consult the tables in the Policy to determine, initially, whether it can be accepted and if in doubt, should consult with their manager for advice.

As a general principal, colleagues must decline a gift or hospitality that is on a scale significantly more generous than anything which GC would be likely to provide in return.

Where it is agreed that a gift or hospitality can be offered or accepted, the GC Gifts and Hospitality Declaration Form should be completed and submitted to your line manager. 

Teams/departments should retain a copy of the form and provide a copy to the Company Secretary / Group Finance Director within 10 working days of the form being completed.

The frequency and scale of gifts/hospitality accepted is managed openly to avoid any claims of bribery.
