Over the last several months we’ve had 48 laptops/Mobile returned to the IT Service Desk that have been damaged which means we are unable to reissue this equipment to new starters.
We need you to look after your kit like you would if you had purchased it for personal use, as this has been happening for several months now and in total has cost the Group £24000. Here is some guidance on how to take care of your laptop.
This is a significant cost to the business and by just taking care of your equipment you can help us save this money.

Unfortunately, if laptops/mobile phones continue to be returned damaged at the current rate, we will have to consider how we can potentially recover the cost back into the business which is obviously something we don’t want to do. We know that accidents do happen, but there has been an increase in the number of incidents over recent months.
So, a little plea from me and the Senior Management Team, please take care of your laptop/mobile phone and other IT equipment as you would your personal belongings to help reduce these costs.
