Our GC Racial Equity Framework has 7 key principles:
- Appoint an executive sponsor to the board
- Scrutinise ethnicity data and publicise progress
- Commit at board level to zero tolerance of harassment and bullying
- Supporting equality in the workplace is the responsibility of all leaders and managers
- Take action that supports ethnically diverse employee career progression
- Support race inclusion allies in the workplace.
- Include ethnically diverse led enterprise owners in supply chains
- Maintain, review and pursue future racial equity related accreditations and standards
Key Actions which we've delivered across GC include to support the framework include:
Diversifying our training offer - cultural sensitivity, unconscious bias, allyship and currently looking into VR options for microaggression training.
Ongoing Campaign to promote the GC Dignity at Work policy across all business units.

Applying for REM Trailblazer Silver status - we want to maintain our bronze but also advance onto the silver award in 2025 - all of our events and activities we have planned this year should support this
