And who could forget the international draw and appeal of the ‘supersonic’ brothers, Oasis; bringing five sold-out shows to Heaton Park for their reunion tour in the summer – Marketing Manchester be capitalising on this to continue our Unmissable Music campaign, showcasing the region’s musical prowess and making the most of all the global attention that will undoubtably follow the shows.

A prolific filming location

They're also pleased to be supporting VisitBritain’s new global campaign Starring Great Britain in 2025, promoting film and TV tourism to Greater Manchester. The region has got plenty to shout about in this area and a new film and TV walking trail map has recently launched to showcase prolific filming locations that visitors must experience in person.

The UK’s growth opportunity

Across Marketing Manchester and MIDAS’s joint investment portfolio, they'll be making a case of GM as the UK’s growth opportunity at MIPIM and UKREiiF, showcasing major projects including the exciting Old Trafford regeneration, and highlighting what’s happening in places like Oldham, Stockport, Wigan, and Bolton. They'll also be returning to SXSW, championing our thriving digital, creative, tech ecosystem alongside some more brilliant emerging music talent.

It’s going to be another exceptional year for the Greater Manchester region, and the Marketing Manchester team are looking forward to working across multiple partnerships to make the most of it.
