Remembrance Day, also known as Armistice Day, is a day of reflection and gratitude. It serves as a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made by our servicemen and servicewomen, past and present, who have dedicated themselves to the protection of our way of life.
During our Remembrance Day service, we'll:
- Remember the Fallen: we'll commemorate the lives of those who gave everything for our country with a two-minute silence.
- Honor the Living: We'll express our deep appreciation for the dedication of current service personnel, recognizing their ongoing commitment to safeguarding our nation.
- Reflect on the Impact: The service will also provide an opportunity to reflect on the enduring importance of Remembrance Day, emphasising the lessons of history and the need for peace and unity.
The service will be led by Rabbi Navad – Military Padre for 156 Regiment Royal Logistics Corps.
We encourage everyone in our community to attend our event and show your support for our service members. Let us stand together to ensure that the sacrifices of the past are never forgotten and that we continue to support those who serve our country.
Look out for the Teamslive Calendar event for Friday November 10th which'll be published shortly, and join us in this meaningful Remembrance Day service. Together, we'll honour the past, acknowledge the present, and strive for a peaceful future.
Following the service there will be a short presentation from the 'Employer Engagement Officer' for the North West, Major AJ Sandle who'll discuss the benefits of hiring veterans & reservists and discuss inclusive hiring policies.
Doors will open at 09:30 where we'll have tea, coffee and croissants, with lunch being served at 12:00.
