As we start a New Year, we’ve updated the list of the mandatory training that will need to be completed over the next twelve months. New starters have their own induction plan which includes the training below (see here for more details on Induction Training).
All colleagues must complete the training within 30 days of allocation, you will be assigned the training and receive an Email prompts from PAL, should you have any issues completing the training within timescales this should be discussed with your line manager. We provide regular reporting to Managers in respect of completion of mandated training
The table below shows when each piece of training will go live, and how often it will reoccur. Training modules that state ‘once every 5 years’, or sooner if there is a change in legislation that requires retraining.
This is not an exhaustive list and we’ll continue to review training regularly. Please note that this is Group-wide mandated learning and not Business Unit specific mandated learning. You may be required to complete additional training based on your role/Business Unit.
Cancellations of Training
Due to high levels of cancellations, we are amending the policy to cancel. As such we will no longer accept email cancellations.
If you wish to cancel a place on a training course, you must do this via the PAL System using the following instructions:
- Discuss the reason for cancelling with your line manager.
- In PAL - using the main menu in the top right of the screen, select LEARN, then VIEW YOUR TRAINING RECORD.
- In the Active section of your Training Record, locate the session you wish to cancel, then use the dropdown menu to select WITHDRAW, stating your reason for cancellation when prompted.
Before cancelling your training, you are required to speak with your line manager in the first instance. Late cancellations can incur a cost to your Department. If you cancel with less than 10 days' notice of the training session date, your Department will incur a charge of £50.
In the event that you do not cancel, or do not attend without prior written notification or after following the above process, a No-Show charge of £100 will be applied to your Department.
