Our Skills Bootcamps offer free, flexible courses up to a maximum of 16 weeks for adults aged 19+ who need to retrain and/or upskill.
They give people the opportunity to build up sector-specific specialist skills and fast-track to an interview with a local employer.
At the beginning of the year, we finished our last cohorts of Wave 4 bootcamps. As part of the employability phase of the bootcamps, we're now working with our graduates to find suitable specific career opportunities.
We have over 100 graduates still on the lookout for work. These graduates want to work in:
- Marketing
- Tech (Software, Cloud or IT)
- Construction
- Green Sector
- Education & Training
- Leadership & Management (Hospitality, Leisure & Tourism and Customer Service)
How you can help
If you're working with businesses looking to recruit or facing recruitment challenges, we can offer upskilled applicant CVs to them at no cost. We have a fully funded dedicated recruitment team, who can work closely with you and employers to fill these roles.
Alternatively, if you have upcoming roles, that you feel may be suitable, please do get in touch with the team using the contact details below. We have had some great success stories throughout our organisation. Hear from Tom Pickford, Product Manager BGH, who's recently employed two Skills Bootcamps graduates:
"I've recently used the Skills Bootcamps as a way of recruiting for junior product owner roles that we had within the GM Business Growth Hub. Because these roles are a mix of marketing, relationship management and working to improve the platforms, the Skills Bootcamps ensured that we knew that at least one of these boxes was ticked on joining the role. Recruiting in this way has already proven to be really successful for us.
"From June 2024 we will be kicking off our next cohorts in AI in Marketing & Education and Training – if you would like to get involved in these by offering a talk to our learners, or signposting your clients to enrol, reach out to me and the team!"
