Following the announcement that a General Election will take place on 4 July, colleagues may have some queries about what this means for GC activity in the run up to polling day.
Central and local government, including combined authorities, are covered by pre-election guidance. This guidance exists to stop public money being spent on promoting a particular candidate.
GC is not impacted directly by these restrictions.
However, as much of our service delivery is funded through local and central government, we should still be mindful of our publicity during this time. For example, not quoting elected members and how we respond to requests for MP visits.
