GC Business Finance Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund (NPIF) Impact Campaign
The Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund (NPIF) is delivered by GC Business Finance. This dynamic partnership serves as a driving force for economic growth in the North, fuelling innovation, job creation, and fostering a thriving business ecosystem.
In our pursuit of the NPIF 2 contract, we sought to demonstrate the transformative effects of the NPIF1 Fund in the Northwest region. Employing a mixed-media approach, such as video, infographics, and PR, we aimed to enhance the impact of success stories.
Delve into our detailed impact story, featured on the NPIF website, to learn how we've empowered 200 entrepreneurs through NPIF microfinance support.
Off the back of the impact story, our outreach efforts included emailing 5,000 GC Business Finance newsletter subscribers, incorporating a compelling call to action that yielded an impressive 28% click-through rate to our website, highlighting again the impact of the fund.
A key story along the way has been QueerLit Bookshop, owned by Matthew Cornford. Aspiring to establish its first physical store on Tib Street in Manchester, QueerLit successfully secured a Start Up Loan from GCBF. Working closely with senior loan manager Andy Nichols, Matthew further secured additional funding via NPIF to transition from its initial location to a more spacious store on Greater Ancoats Street.
The newly inaugurated Social Refuge not only houses an expanded bookshop, but also features a coffee shop, co-working area, and events space, positioning itself as a hub for Manchester's LGBTQ+ community. To commemorate the opening, Social Refuge hosted its inaugural event in October in collaboration with Pride in Leadership.
