GC Angels are investors in innovation and the leading early-stage investor in the North West.

High-innovation potential, early-stage businesses haven't always been able to access the growth capital they need. GC Angels was formed to respond to this imbalance in the early-stage equity market across the North.

They invest alongside angel investors and funds, de-risking and unlocking deals with a focus on exciting, high-growth opportunities innovating across digital, creative and technology sectors.

They've supported over 30 businesses with raises in excess of £30m over a six year period. £34m has been raised in follow on funding to date.

The team recently visited The Wellbeing Farm in Lancashire to support the Lancashire Investment Academy and Boost; Lancashire's Business Growth Hub. The farm is a B Corp certified events venue delivering fun and sustainable corporate events, team building, parties and weddings.

About the visit, Ranvir Singh, Investment Manager - Business Finance told us:

"This activity is part of the GC Angels wider remit to provide support and advice to founders across the NW ecosystem."

"It was great to meet with the current cohort of 14 early-stage founders with businesses ranging from gaming, Medtech, Fintech and e-commerce to real-estate and canal boats!"

"Thank you Warren Lunt for inviting us and for organising an enjoyable and insightful program based around how early-stage equity funding works and whether it is a suitable funding strategy."
