- The service was highly commended at this year’s GM Pro Bono Awards and has been shortlisted for a LawWorks Pro Bono award.
The Employment Legal Advice Service has been recognised for its outstanding Pro Bono work. The free service, delivered by the Growth Company in partnership with Citizens Advice Manchester, Citizens Advice Bury and Bolton and a dedicated network of legal partners, is designed to make sure that everyone has access to employment legal advice, no matter their financial situation.
On Wednesday, ELAS was highly commended in the Charity/Frontline Agency of the Year category at the Greater Manchester Pro Bono Awards. The awards, which took place in Manchester city centre, were an opportunity to recognise the work of those involved in pro bono in Greater Manchester.
The service has also been shortlisted in the Most Effective Pro Bono Partnership category at this year’s LawWorks Pro Bono Awards, which recognise and celebrate achievement in legal pro bono work, undertaken by organisations and individuals. The winner will be announced at the awards ceremony in London on 4th December.
