SEPTEMBER UPDATES

A big shout out to Mark Chapman, Skills Development Tutor, for getting all his six 'Junior Content Apprentices' through with 'Distinctions'. Every learner who's been through an End-point assessment (EPA) has been awarded a Distinction!  From these, three are colleague members (Renee Bell, Hannah Morris and Elisha Tootell) who are now working within content-based roles within GC and using their skills acquired.

The second cohort of six Plasterers completed the 'British Gypsum Skim' course with their EPA earlier this month (4th - 8th September) at the Skill Centre in Trafford Park. Not only did they all pass, but upon external assessment, Ryan Seeley from British Gypsum stated: "All the learners produced work of an exceptional quality and are a compliment to their tutor Mr Paul Orton."  Paul Orton, Skills Development Tutor started with GC in February of this year and has done a great job in not only delivering new courses, but improving delivery. Well done and thank you Paul!

August/September has also been a great month for achievers in Construction Craft. Not only have we processed no less than 9 EPA Achievers, but some have gone on to achieve Merits and Distinctions. A huge well done to the and thank-you to the candidates, but also all the tutors and assessors involved.
