GC Employment delivers the Restart Scheme across the North of England on behalf of the Department for Work and Pensions. It is a government Scheme providing up to 12 months of enhanced support to help you find a job in your local area. It's designed to break down any employment barriers that could be holding you back from finding work.
Colleagues recently celebrated the 3 year anniversary of Restart GM, and the relaunch of the scheme at an event at Odeon Cinema, Trafford, Greater Manchester.
To celebrate their 3 year milestone, the team highlighted some key achievements and their continued high levels of outcome performance – and being recognised as a key delivery partner of Ingeus, maintaining first place for outcome conversion rates, as well as a strong compliance achievement. Since launch, they've supported over 5,000 participants with almost 2,000 customers into work, which is rising every day!
Customer feedback supports that the scheme's participants are receiving high quality support, which has really empowered their colleagues to progress and keep driving the contract forwards.
As part of the event, they looked at the contract extension and relaunch plans, what they've learned and what their plans are into the extension period.
It also included some colleague recognition – based on each of our five GC values, where colleagues nominated each other for awards.
To experience their hard work in a way in which suited the unique cinema venue, they watched a 15-minute video, Restart in a Movie, which included case studies, comments from managers, updates from safeguarding, EDI, Compliance teams, and a well done from our Supply Chain Operations Director at Ingeus. It also included stats from the past 3 years, highlights, and cross-GC photos on how the team have worked together. Of course, there was also popcorn and sweets!
Hear from colleagues who attended the celebration event:
“ It was a fantastic experience, great to spend time with the wider team and know what we have achieved together, it was a fun experience, and the awards were very exciting, I came away proud to be runner up for Stronger together award and proud to work for GC.” Adam McCabe – Walkden Restart
