Last week, Mark announced that we would be providing you with the option of booking designated meeting spaces for team meetings from Monday 17Th May. We know many of you are eager for some face-to-face interaction with your colleagues – SMT held a team meeting last week and said it was great to be together in the office. This is the first step on the GC Roadmap.
Meetings can be booked from today in the usual way via Talos, our room booking system. Each team meeting will require an organiser to ensure that guidelines are adhered to. The organiser of the team meeting will be responsible for completing and sharing a pre-meeting checklist. We will share an updated checklist if there are any changes in the Government Roadmap at any stage.
The meetings spaces available at this time are in Lee House and Broadhurst (formally Churchgate), Warren Bruce Court and Challenge for Change. Room capacities will be shown in Talos when booking.
You can book a two-hour slot (either AM or PM, with a maximum of 2 meetings taking place in these areas each day). Please do not book slots for longer than two hours and ensure that there is at least an hour’s gap between the AM and PM meeting.
Our team will be on hand for any support and all areas will be cleaned before and after each session.
Please remember that face coverings must be worn on public transport, when moving around inside our offices and training centres and in any space where the two-metre social distancing rule cannot be adhered to (unless you have a medical exemption). They can be removed during meetings, as long as the two-metre rule is observed. Where possible, please also take the opportunity to increase natural ventilation (e.g. by opening doors and windows where practical). We would like to remind you that we’re asking colleagues to take a lateral flow test the day before attending any of our sites.
If you are coming into the office for a team meeting, please ensure that you only use the building for this purpose. You should not occupy the wider accommodation space in the building pre-, or post-meeting and you should not access any other areas of the office including going to your locker, if you have one. All sites are covered by our GC Risk Assessment.
Please also be aware that the GC contract carparking at York Street is still suspended. You can still park here if you intend to pay on the day. If you do not pay on the day, be aware that they are issuing £100 fines. If you choose to park in the NCP car park on Great Bridgewater Street, you can benefit from discounted parking by downloading and registering for the free ‘ParkPass NCP’ app.
If you have any questions, please get in touch and we will be happy to support.
