BGH colleagues volunteer with Ardwick Climate Action

GM Business Growth Hub's Key Account Management team spent a day supporting Ardwick Climate Action on their mission to protect the local Ardwick environment, through grassroots advocacy that engages the local community.

Ardwick is an area of Manchester, where much work is needed to re-engage and sensitise the community back to nature and the climate crisis that affects all its residents.

The team planted herbs, built flower beds and installed bird boxes, all the while having a laugh and learning all about the strengths and weaknesses of fellow team members: Marc Appleton is very green fingered, Roger G Davies (as a proud Manc), is over the moon that he can now regularly drive past a birdbox that he helped install near to Mancunian Way and... none of us should be left alone with a drill.

About the experience, Taymer Pugh, Key Account Manager at BGH told us:

"I have been working closely with Louise Logan at NG Bailey, as a Key Account of GM Business Growth Hub, and as a result of that relationship, Louise kindly made the introduction to the team at Ardwick Climate Action.

"I'd like to share a huge thanks to Louise and Rachel at NG Bailey for the introduction and to Daniell Musaheb, Choel and Gordon at Ardwick Climate Action for having us. It was great to meet other businesses also supporting. I'm looking forward to the next opportunity!"

Volunteering on the day were Taymer Pugh, Eleri Roberts, Oliver Burnill, Marc Appleton, Jake Croxton and Roger G Davies.
