On 14th December, GC hosted a number of people with special needs from Mencap, and together with volunteers from Aspire, GM-Business Growth Hub, GC Employment, University of Manchester and We-do Digital, they worked together to wrap and fill shoe boxes which were then handed out on the streets of Manchester to homeless people.
A huge thanks to everyone who took part in this fantastic volunteering opportunity – including Facilities and Reception teams, colleagues who donated money, and everyone who popped in to say hello.
The people with special needs wanted to thank GC for hosting them, and most of all, giving them the opportunity to meet new people, and June (the manager from Mencap) wanted to thank GC, as we saved the charity almost £1,000 – which they spent on hiring conference facilities at a hotel last year.
