Back by popular demand, the Festival of Enterprise returned this week after the resounding success of the 2022 event!

Hosted by GM Business Growth Hub and presented by its successful EnterprisingYou programme, the event, was held on Thursday 13th June at the vibrant New Century venue in the heart of Manchester City Centre and included dynamic speakers, networking opportunities, market stalls, street food and live music!

Attendees also gained insights into the fully-funded support available to fuel the growth of their businesses.

With over 300 people attending, it was a celebration of self-employment and entrepreneurship, proudly highlighting Greater Manchester as the ultimate destination for launching and expanding your business.

The event was completely free to attend and was aimed at start-ups, founders, entrepreneurs, side-hustlers, and anyone seeking business inspiration and support. It was essentially a golden opportunity for them to connect with like-minded individuals in a relaxed, enjoyable setting that diverges from the formalities of traditional business events.

About the event, Yvonne Sampson, Head of Enterprise at Business Growth Hub told us:

“We’ve supported over 4000 entrepreneurs and small businesses across Greater Manchester since 2020 and the Festival of Enterprise was a fantastic celebration of this.

“I’ve been a small business owner myself, and it fills me with hope and ambition to see so many amazing people and businesses coming out to show what they can do. It was brilliant to meet and engage with them and to hear all about why they set up their businesses and how passionate they are.

“Self-employed people make up 10% of the UK workforce, but it can feel very lonely. Today was an excellent way to bring people together, connect and celebrate.”
